Bob Law
With a lifelong commitment to enhancing education for SEMH children and young people, I have amassed extensive experience across various educational settings, including Grammar Schools, Secondary High Schools, Academy’s,Primary Schools, and Special Education institutions. Since the early 1980s, my focus has been on Residential, Remand, Secure, Pupil Referral Units (PRU), Alternative Provision (AP), and Day Special Schools, encompassing post-16 provision and 16-25 support.
My 26 years of Headship experience include leading Goldwyn School, the most successful Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) Special School in Kent. During my tenure, I pioneered local inclusion initiatives in partnership with 60 Primary and 8 Secondary schools, successfully achieving zero permanent exclusions for over 14 years. Goldwyn School was recognized as “Outstanding” by Ofsted on two occasions whilst I was the Principal.
Since retiring in January 2018, I have remained an active contributor to the education sector as a National Leader in Education, working as an independent consultant and serving as Chair for three children’s special needs charities: SEBDA, Red Hill Trust, and KITE College. My dedication to improving education and support for children with special needs continues to drive my work in these capacities.
